Not only are we transitioning from summer into autumn — we are, more importantly, transitioning from our past.
September, in many cultures and spiritual traditions, is not just the ninth month of the year. It is seen as a sacred time of reset. A moment in the calendar when we are gently invited to pause, reflect, and realign. As the seasons shift and nature begins to turn inward, so too are we called to look within.
It is a month of introspection — a time to acknowledge the path we’ve walked over the last year, to take stock of both the triumphs and the missteps, and to consider how these experiences have shaped us. September symbolises the end of a cycle and the beginning of something new. It gives us permission to close chapters that no longer serve us, and to write new ones with greater intention and wisdom.
This is the season of the harvest — when the fruits of the earth are gathered, preserved, and stored in preparation for the months ahead. But it’s also a time when we can begin to harvest the fruits of our own labour — emotionally, mentally, spiritually. We can ask ourselves: What seeds did I plant over the past year? What have I nurtured? What has grown? And what must now be released?
September offers us the space to:
• Reflect on the lessons we’ve learned.
• Make amends where needed.
• Reassess what truly matters.
• Let go of habits, patterns, or narratives that no longer align with who we are becoming.
• And most importantly, reset.
A reset doesn’t have to be a dramatic overhaul. It can be subtle — a shift in mindset, a recommitment to a value, a quiet promise to approach things differently. We can reset how we show up in our relationships, how we care for ourselves, how we engage with challenges, and how we hold space for joy and gratitude.
We can reset our pace, our priorities, and our inner intentions.
So, as we step into this new season, I invite you to ask yourself:
What are you ready to leave behind?
What is asking to be reset in your life, your heart, or your habits?
What new direction feels aligned for the months ahead?
September whispers: You can begin again.
Not because you failed, but because you’ve grown.
With love and gentleness,
Isabelle
